  4. The perspectives displayed are very sobering and didn't know very much about what they were going to be doing.

  6. The soldiers are bored out of their minds in a lot of cases. Some of the letters talk about how they have 2 hours of drills and then they just sun bathe the rest of the day. They need something to do with their free time, because they could be working instead of just laying around all day.

  8. The soldiers don't always have exciting stories to tell of battles and 'war' most of them deal with the everyday details that family members would like to hear.

  9. situationally speaking this situation is very sad, most of the soldiers had no idea what they were signing up for.

  11. this sucks for them because they seem like they don't wanna make their family and friends worry about how they feel depressed and how empty their days feel and the only thing to fill it is the battlefield.

  12. its kinda sad, cuz all the people are "forced" to do something they hate, and be away from their family for a long time...

  13. The soldiers don't seem to be doing much, they just sit around and wait for action to find them. When the weather's bad they're even more bored. Some of the letters to their families are short and non informative because they don't really do much anyway.
